This is Us: Yemen beyond the Headlines

Five activists from Yemen will come to Berlin and talk about social change rather than war, hunger or cholera. The event will give people of Yemen a voice to talk about the effect of war and the situation in Yemen on their lives. The event will be held in English.

“The longer we wait for peace, the more we lose.”
Suha Basharen, Gender Expert, CARE Yemen

Five Yemeni work against shrinking spaces for civil society in Yemen, they promote gender equality, support young people in becoming social media activists, or create art reflecting on everyday life in their home country.

They show that Yemen is much more than a country in the fifth year of conflict.

CARE cordially invites you to use this opportunity: talk to civil society actors from Yemen and take a look behind the headlines. Join us at Bootshaus Spreefeld.

We are looking forward to an exciting evening with you!

Please register for this event by Thursday, September 19, via the online form linked below. Space is limited, first come, first serve.
