The Invisible Contract (2024) follows the lives of women who clean public spaces in Mexico City. Through their testimonies, the documentary reflects on labor precarity, the recognition of this essential work, and the right of workers to tell their own stories.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the director on who cares for our public spaces and how these realities resonate in other contexts such as Berlin, where much of this work is carried out by migrants.
Organized by the seminar Work and Precarization in Latin America: Intersectional Perspectives (LAI) and Sister Cities in Action.
